Friends! How many of us have them? Friends!

Why can’t I have a friend?

A friend I could walk this journey to Christ  with.

A friend I could talk about my struggles of being celibate to the blessing of being celibate.

Someone I could serve with on Sunday morning to going out on a Friday night.

A friend I can call when I can’t pray for myself to a promotion.

A friend who is excited about the things God is doing within me and not be jealous that it’s not their turn yet.

A friend I could see being a Godparent to my children.

As I write a list of the things I would hope for or desire in a friend, God shows me the discription of a man. A man who has been there for me since I 1st met him. From childish to grown situations, he witness and was apart of my growth as I for him.

To daddy issues, church folk, relationships, self growth. My guy!

See I was looking for this in other people. I was trying and hoping it came in a familiar form.

God sends you what you need when you need it.

He also reminds you of what you already have.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…”

Proverbs 3:5

Forgive me for putting expectations on you.

Forgive me for not realizing you were just a seasonal person in a season of my life.

Forgive me for not knowing the difference or asking God if you are filling up a temporary or a permanent position.

I wish you the best my love.
