I was doing my devotional one morning.
Luke 21:19. “Stand firm, and you will win life.”
I read the whole chapter to get the main idea of this verse and then prayed about it.
I prayed that God stand with me in Him because I could stand firm with Him and not know what that means or what that looks like. If He’s standing with me holding me up, then I’m good. It’s a visual thing for me.
So God reminds me of the time when I was younger and my awesome God Father Poppa Walter took me to my father daughter dance at school. I would stand on his feet, he would hold my hands and I would look up at me. It felt like there was no one else in the room but us.
I prayed that I stand firm on God’s feet as He holds me and I look up at him. No matter what storm, earthquake, drought, sun, my eyes are on God.
I’m standing on his feet and He is holding my hands smiling.
To me, this action is a visual representation of seeking the Kingdom of God 1st which is my life scripture. It helps me get through my days thinking of a moment like this.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
-Matthew 6:33
Do you have a life scripture? A scripture that helps you get through any and everything?
