Are you in or out?

When I was younger, I use to run long distance in track and field and cross country. Cross country is different but was a pretty cool experience. Looking back at that adventure made me realize some things now in my life.

My family was there from the beginning during my race,  three different stages of my journey I was graced with smiling faces and cheers and then at the finish line. I had friends cheer me on half way, strangers encouraging me and volunteers handing me water.

Each serving a very important role, me receiving those randoms cheers from familiar faces let me know I wasn’t alone nor forgotten. The ones who handed me water to keep me hydrated and then the ones who will ride for me from start to finish.

People come and go.

My finish line is when I’m in heaven, when I’m done all I was made to do on this earth. I was always told to die at the finish line, so no matter how tired I was, hurt, sore or out of breath, I could not stop until I crossed that line. Then I could be fat and eat. lol

Not everyone is made to run with me, God will make someone enter your life just to say good job in that season and then have them exit the building. Then you have others who you do life with, sun up to sun down. It’s important to know the difference, some people just are not made to keep up on my pace and it may be vice versa.

They have served there purpose, either you’ll see it now or later.

We are all walking the same walk but one may qualify for different events, built for certain races, train and practice differently than others.

Your job is to Matthew 6:33.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to you.”

Keep your focus on God and He will send you who and what you need at the right time and the right place.

It doesn’t matter who comes and who goes, you can’t stop in the middle of the race. You can not hold on too long, you’ll end up being lapped carrying dead weight.

Keep running!

What’s for you will always be for you. Who’s for you will always be for you.
