How to properly grieve.

2. Made it a goal to get through the day.

It was times I would shut down, not work and snap on everyone. Half of the time I didn’t know I was reacting until about the 3rd year.

A. Be mindful of my thoughts and actions.

B. Think of happy thoughts.

C. Slow to speak, quick to listen. (James 1:19)

Don’t react to every little thing and explode. Sit quiet, think about what you’re going to say and then move.

3. Allow yourself to cry.

Feel like crying then go for it. Let it all out. I didn’t care where I was. If I was working, I would nicely say I need a minute, at home I would say I’m going to sleep. So my mom wouldn’t freak out about me historically crying. She turns into mommy mode and someone is getting a phone call. Lol I love you mommy.

Some days it can happen 5 times, get it out.

3. Get someone to vent too.

I call my dad because he knows my pain, if not more. He would listen maybe even cry together and then we are good.

4. Accept it won’t happen overnight.

It’s been 6 years and I still cry like a baby. I still feel heartbroken on those two days. But every year it has improved. Everyday it is an improvement.

How to properly grieve.

5. Acknowledge and celebrate your growth.

This year for his birthday, I decided to get a chain with two pendants. The letter A and a mic.

The letter A is for my dad Andre, my brother Andreason, and me Asantee.

The mic is for my brother and I. He was a rapper in Trinidad and I speak on God’s word time to time. It’s something about when we get the mic in our hand that makes everyone stop and listen. We are a completely different person when we have the floor.

Gold because he loved yellow gold even thought I am a white gold fan.

He was an inspiration for this blog.

My loss, birth life.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Psalm 147:3

Story Time

So I was doing my clients hair.

She requested that I do the crochet individual faux locs, which I’ve never done before.

Before I agree to anything, I do intensive research on different ways to accomplish a goal. Looking in how to do something is completely different from actually doing it.

I tried at least 6 different ways before I found what worked for me and my clients hair. I even stopped to go to the hair store to pick up more hair for a specific technique.

After getting it down packed and moving along, my client wasn’t satisfied with the specefic technique I was using because it wasn’t how she saw it.

But she didn’t realize I’ve already done it all. She then took it upon herself to give it a try and it didn’t work.

At the end it turned out great and I was so glad with the results. Thank you to my customer who had faith in me to not give up after I was getting frustrated and the amount of patients given.

Lesson: your path is specifically created for you. What God has made for you is for you. What worked for others won’t work for you. You can copy others all you want but if you don’t follow the lead of God, you can forget about it.

“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, ” plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Dear viewers

I love what I do. I live for this. I just recently hit 65 views and about 10 of them was literally me trying to look at my blog from the consumers point of view lol.

Still big that within a few days I legit hit about 50 views on my blog. I’m thankful for the one.

This can be nerve racking at times because what I have to say won’t always be pretty. Of course I don’t really care but I do want to make sure the message comes across receivable.

But to sit back and be glad that I am finally walking in a promise given by God is breath taking.

Use this as your platform, God has allowed me to use it as mine. Simply email.

As I speak to you, I am speaking to myself. The lesson God has for His people comes through you first.

Most of the time, I’m going back on my notes and my post so I could get through my day.

Find what you love and give it your all. You’ll never regret it.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
