Strength like an iron.

Have you ever?

Have you ever gone on a job interview and been asked, “What are your strengths and weaknesses?” Have you ever gotten stuck and looked like a deer in headlights, confused? That was me too. I had to find and search for what my strengths are and thrive in them. This is how I did it:

With/without

Without strength, it looks like I’m dragging, crying, upset, sleepy, with no energy to want to do anything. Physical lack of strength is no joke! It can be caused from not eating properly also.

With strength, I look like, mentally nothing can get in my way. I feel I can conquer anything. Physically, no one is as tired as physical endurance to get through good and bad days.

Story TIme

I do not always think of my strengths, unless asked to. I used to get stuck during an interview when they asked, “What are your three strengths?” I used to look for answers on Google on how to answer this question. I realized my strengths are the things I would get compliments on that came natural to me. Another way I discovered my strengths are what I loved doing and what I was good at doing. One example is that I like managing. I started managing a track and field parks and recreation team in high school. I was not the best athlete, but my role as a manager I would make sure your parents paid the fees on time. I was a manager of a chess club at a very young age while in middle school, Captain of a step squad, and Young Adult Leader for a non-profit. That behavior spilled into my work life later.

Every job I had, I eventually became a manager and was great at it. I also learned about my strengths by studying myself. I assessed how I felt when I did something, and noticed what things I was successful with. I wrote down everything I did at each job – each program, each hobby, and looked back in awe, admiring that I did all of that. I then took the new knowledge and ran with it.

My book talks about foundational steps of building strength while, the workshop we offer offers exercises of how to apply your strengths into your day to day.
